Judi’s personal thoughts for October-December 2018

A personal note from Judi…

We often hear stories of how men don’t like to ask for directions, but we all are guilty of tossing the directions to something we are putting together in the trash. Maybe the operation of a new electronic device seems so simple yet we seem to think that with our vast knowledge and experience in life that we will be able to “put the pieces together” correctly. How many times have you had to go to the trash and dig out the directions to finish your project.

God has a plan for us and sometimes we accept that fact. We also deal with failure at times and when all else has been tried we realize we need a ‘reset’ to get back on track. No shame, no guilt, we just need to repent and move forward. Knowing that God is ultimately on our side, we believe that He will help us move toward that plan. I wonder what would happen if we didn’t set aside the directions that he has provided for us to build our lives. Would we be wiser? Possibly not end up with extra pieces we don’t know what to do with? Or maybe we’d end up not having some vital parts that were needed after we start. Do you ever remember plugin in a device and it didn’t work? Then when returning to the instructions it read “do this before you plug it in.“? Since we jumped ahead of the plan we find ourself in a pickle because it didn’t work. I’ve come to learn the “best practice” is to seek wisdom and council in hearing from God before we try to do it on our own.

On a very personal note I am looking forward to the holidays. This year we will be spending Christmas with Wynn’s entire family. It will be the first time in about 4 years we have all been together. I had hoped to see my youngest son and his family but that did not work out this year…Skype will have to do.

Wynn and I and the entire Restoring Wholeness team want to send our blessings for Thanksgiving, a Joyous Christmas and a very Happy and Blessed 2019! Thank you again for your support, financial and prayers!
