I guess we could talk about last year…but honestly, the future and 2023 is more exciting! Like having my book, PRODIGAL translated into Spanish!
In January we held our first live One Day Seminar “From Shame to Intimacy with Christ”. Central City Assembly and it’s pastor Kai Eilert hosted the event. It was filmed and will be edited and put on our website later this year.
Jason Caywood, Brett and Holly Martin and myself taught. The result is ‘all glory to God’ and lives were changed for the good! The Lord bless all of you who prayed!
We’ve all been surrounded and overwhelmed by signs of end time prophecies. That in itself could affect us negatively or positively. For those of us who have Jesus Christ living inside and faith in what He promised…we have HOPE!
Personally I chose to be positive! Especially in the light of today’s Woke and Cancel Culture. Cancel culture is the modern social attitude that controversial speech or behavior (i.e. traditional family values) must be punished through public shaming, silencing, boycotting, firing, bankrupting, deplatforming, etc. The result is that the offender’s influence, presence, and/or reputation is “cancelled out.”
Cancel culture views people with whom a plurality of people disagree as unredeemable and worthy of spite. Christian culture sees no one as unredeemable. Repentance and change are always possible, and forgiveness is available. Christian culture sees no one as an object of spite. God’s love is always available. We know that Jesus Christ died so humanity could be saved. Forgiveness and redemption are key to Christian culture. There are no lost causes.
Isn’t that a freeing liberty that we have been given?! If you’ve read my book, Prodigal – a Journey to Freedom from Abuse and Addiction, you will know that many times in my life I was ‘cancelled’ out and yet Jesus pursued me with great consistency and inclusivity.
John 6:44 Amp – “No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.”
Also John 3:16-17 “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”
There is NO woke or cancelling here – only forgiveness, mercy, grace and love!
