I did know that my right shoulder needed to be replaced by a reverse shoulder surgery. At the beginning of the year I was able to address it due to a change in my insurance. Since my schedule was very busy the first 3 months of 2023, I was able to set the date for 18th of April. God blessed me with one of the top orthopedic surgeons in Tucson. The day came and Judi took me to the hospital at 6am (not my best time of the day – wink). The surgery began at 8:30 and I was back home by 11:30am the same day!
Now, over two weeks later I can honestly say this was the best experience for a major operation I’ve ever had. Praise the Lord, I was able to move my arm away from my body at least 6 inches the first day! Thank you all who prayed for God’s hand in the process. I’m healing very well…and already in physiotherapy. Also, I’m back up and running with counselling and meetings.
Looking ahead through this Summer, our RW Leadership Steering Committee have been working on a more professional online format for our ‘From Shame to Intimacy with Christ’ seminar/course that anyone can do at any time. Lord willing it will be posted by June.
All of the RW Support groups, Flagstaff, Prescott, Minnesota and Tucson have been hard at work running groups or preparing for them for the upcoming Fall/Autumn Semesters. Lord willing there will be new group starting in Northern California at Sacramento State. Brett and Holly have even travelled to Hawaii to discuss the birth of a new RW Support Group there. We are growing, slowly but surely. Thank you everyone who has prayed and supported Restoring Wholeness!
One last thing, Judi and I are in the process of raising our support for the next year. We appreciate it if you would take some time and ask our Father if there is something you could do help keep our arms raised in this service. We will be reaching out in the next few months.
