Personal notes by Rev Wynn Cameron Thompson
As we step into the final quarter of 2025, I can’t help but reflect on what a whirlwind this year has been. We’ve walked through moments of joy and moments of challenge, and through it all, the changes and uncertainties in our world have only drawn us closer to our Father. I’ve found myself leaning on Him more deeply than ever, and I know many of you have too.
Before I share some Restoring Wholeness updates, I want to take a moment to honor Charlie Kirk. Charlie gave his life standing firm in his faith in Jesus Christ on campuses across the world. While some believe his death was politically motivated, I see it through the eyes of faith—as the enemy trying to silence the Light. But God, in His sovereignty, took what was meant for harm and turned it into something powerful. Through Turning Point USA, the movement Charlie started, it’s reported that during his funeral that was streamed, over 100 million people have now heard the gospel—something unprecedented in history. Truly, our Father had the final word.
July was an especially full and fruitful month. I had the privilege of teaching two sessions via Zoom for the EQUIP DTS Leadership YWAM school in Amsterdam. Over 30 dedicated students joined as we explored how to disciple and mentor young leaders from difficult backgrounds. Their hunger to learn and engage was inspiring!
In August, I was invited by Mark Nelson, director of Exchange Ministries, to speak to their online support group in Florida. It was a gift to be part of that gathering and to witness the grace and love of God moving through the community Mark has built.
In between these events, my days have been filled with counseling and mentoring men and a few women across the world through Zoom, WhatsApp, Signal, and Messenger. Technology may sometimes be a challenge, but what a blessing it can be when it connects us across borders and cultures. I continue to be humbled by the way God uses these conversations to impact lives.
Looking ahead, I am especially excited about the launch of a new Restoring Wholeness Support Group beginning on September 30th. This group will run through February 2026, and we would be so grateful for your prayers—for the seven participants and the four leaders walking alongside them.
Thank you for your prayers, friendship, and support. May God continue to pour out His grace and wisdom on us all as we finish this year strong.
