“A Room with no Roof” by Stephan
Many times we struggle to reach out and make friends. It’s hard when we’ve ben rejected so many times. When we focus on our relationship with Jesus then everything else will come out of that relationship. Here is a poem from a young man who loves the Lord but struggles with loneliness.
“Have you ever felt like your life is like a room with no roof? I have no barrier in the communication I have with God (that’s why there is no roof) and yet I feel trapped between the four walls around me. There is all the freedom one can desire and even more once you look up, but yet in my situation I feel trapped.
“Is it a matter of choice? Is it a matter of feelings? Is it a test? Is it God’s will? Is it satan, that is doing a pretty good job to enclose me between four walls? What is it” Is it life? Is it love? Or many it’s ‘dooms day’?………NOT!!!
“I don’t care what it is! I want to be in God’s will and that’s it! If I’m going to come out of my situation or not, or if I’m going to get friends, father-figures or whatever you want to call them, whether I’m going to get these people in my life or not—I want to be in God’s will and that is it!!!
“I’m not going to go out of my way to make friends anymore…I’ll rather be a friend! I’m not going to search for father anymore…I’d rather that God for those who have one! I’m not going to chase after my own selfishness or needs (whatever you want to call them) anymore…I’ll rather hand them over to God!
“This is it! Friends hurt me, but ‘m not gonna do the same. I’ll chose to love them even more! Friends reject me, still I choose to come into the opposite spirit! My heart aches, but my freedom comes from above, from where my hope is…which You so kindly promised me to see. Jesus, please show me hope and quick!”
