“Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [also Palms 110:1] Colossians 3:1 AMP
First and for most, we pray that our Father will continue to surround and fill you with all you need – body, soul and spirit, as we go through 2025! He is already at work as I continue to ‘seek the things that are above‘.
Second, the Lord has been speaking to me about 2025. In fact one word continues to stand out – FOCUS. Staying inline with Colossians, having to focus is a key component to ‘keep seeking on the things that are above‘. Hebrews 12:2 says,
“[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].”
What really struck me was the line, “who for the joy of accomplishing the goal set before Him endured the Cross, disregarding the shame,…” It must have taken a whole lot of focus to ‘endure’ the path to Calvary! That thought hit me so hard I had to stop and readjust my eyes on Him as I wept knowing I fall short of that focus. May I suggest we all take some time to ponder and re-focus on our goal – His original intent for our identity and purpose.
Third, here in Tucson we are planning our first RW Support Group of 2025. We hope to start it 29th March! We appreciate your continued prayers for our leaders and the participants.
AND this morning as I was finishing my part of this first Newsletter of 2025 I received an email from Chad, the leader of YWAM Montana’s EQUIP Leaders DTS confirming another 3 day teaching in April.
I will be a busy first quarter and we would appreciate your prayers!
