Is Animated Porn Harmful to me?

Exodus 20:4-5  –  

⁴ “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. ⁵ You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.” –

Animated porn, whether it is intended to be porn or if it is just very risqué artwork, is a form of pornography and a soul destroyer no matter what anyone says.  When I talk about animated porn or risqué artwork, I am not talking about paintings and famous pictures I am talking about things like menga, anime, henti, pornographic comics and cartoons.  For those who do not know what I am talking about, good, keep it that way! For those who do know what I am talking about, pay attention.  This style of porn is just as spiritually deadly, if not more so. Animated porn is a subtle destroyer.

I know about this first hand, it draws you in playing on your deepest fantasies, in this world you can have anything that you can think of.  In this world people can draw up and animate their deepest sinful desires, fantasies, and fetishes, and the scary thing is they aren’t real people but only cartoons, so people think it is not as bad as real porn.  It is all deception.  This is a very illusory mindset to have!  This type of pornography is idolatry at its raw form because they are not real people. In the animated videos or artwork you are simply worshiping the female or male form – you are worshiping Baal and Ashtoreth.  As we can see in Exodus 20:4-5 this is a direct violation of the second commandment.

Let’s look past the fact that it breaks the second commandment and think about something else.  In this type of animation a typical form of a woman will have ridiculously large breasts, they are very unnaturally large, also this typical woman is either very ditsy and is always “accidentally” losing her clothing or is very violent.  This paints an incorrect picture of what a woman really is.  Every woman is uniquely made, and most women don’t have breasts the size of beach balls and aren’t always losing their clothing.  Men have over accentuated body parts and in most porn, genitals that are huge. Men and women project these images onto potential life partners which conflict with real-life truth.  We believe a lie in exchange.

By subjecting your mind and sexual desires to this faulty mindset you are only preparing yourself for failure when it comes to true intimacy.  You will have a skewed idea of what a woman should look and act like. If you were to want to find that special girl and get married, your ideas about what is true beauty will be so skewed that it will be next to impossible to find a girl that lives up to those standards.  After all is said and done, this type of pornography is just as bad as real-people porn – it is all soul destroying. No matter what excuse we come up with families are affected, and marriages destroyed.  We create false gods and images of what a woman or a man should look like.
